RIDER DOWN - First Aid courses for motorcyclists (run by motorcyclists). If you found someone in shock or not breathing, would you know what to do and could you cope? Who is the qualification for:- Recommended for all bikers who ride a motorcycle or wishes to administer first aid/ manage the initial scene of a road traffic incident. The Rider Down Course has been specifically designed to provide the correct knowledge and necessary skills needed to deal with the initial management of a patient involved in the accident. All bikers are encouraged to give the injured casualties the necessary basic life support whilst waiting for the emergency services. The course is not just about removing a helmet, it covers all aspects from how to make the scene safe, through to the information that the emergency services will require when you call them. The course takes 6 hours and is structured around an accident. It begins with a biker arriving at the scene of an accident, through to the emergency services arriving. The course is competency based, allowing the students to go home knowing that they have been individually assessed by a highly skilled professional. What you will learn:-
What you will achieve:- The RIDER DOWN - First aid course is a 6 hour programme that is assessed throughout the day by the course tutor by a series of practical assessments. When you pass the course you will obtain a Certificate of Attendance.
