Who should attend?

After assessment you may have identified the need for Emergency First Aider as a minimum requirement, employees working within low risk or smaller workplaces who require an appointed person to take charge in event of accident or illness. This course give the delegate the skills to take charge and effectively deal with an emergency – with the emphasis on preventing the situation from becoming worse and keeping the casualty alive until further help arrives.

Course content

• Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment
• Wounds and bleeding
• Shock
• Minor injuries
• Choking
• Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)

Certification

3 year certificate on trainer’s assessment.
